I have a 1997 2 stroke Johnson with a leak directly under the water intakes. I have attached a picture to show you. I am new to this can someone help me in telling me if this is normal from exhaust( I know that the exhaust comes from the back of the prop, but some other people told me that this hole has something to do with the exhaust also) or if this is gear lube oil. The weather has been cold and there is no water in the lower unit, can the seals shrink in the cold causing a leak? Pleas help!!!!
