Hi

I am looking at purchasing a used 1997 Johnson ocean pro 175hp that is a FICHT engine. It has had the head modified to split the fuel flow when injected into the head and all computer updates carried out up to date.

Is this engine being one of the first FICHT types on the market a worthwhile investment or should one stay clear?

Cheers

Did they do the fire suppresion system update? My buddy has an entire rack full of well done '97 150 and 175 fichts. Probably those motors were the leading contributer to OMC's demise. Do what Rodbolt says and don't look back.
