1997 Johnson 200 Venom

I have a cyclinder bad, the ring broke. I was also told that the sleve has spun. Is this likely. My next question is I have herd that when Johnson casted the blocks, in some cases the sleves were not positioned over the ports correctly and that to some people it may look like the sleve has spun. Also is $500.00 alot to have a sleve put in and the the other cylinders honed, machine work only no parts. If my cylinder is not spun is $2600.00 a fair price to have the motor and carbs rebuilt.

Yes its possible the sleeve spun. 500.00 seems a little much to resleeve 1 and hone 5. But the overall price seems close if all you are replacing is one new piston. Have you measured the other 5 with a dial bore gauge? Cool motor by the way.<br /><br />Good luck.
