1997 Mercury 175 hp EFI s stroke

Hello I am not real familliar with this engine customer brought it in the voltage regulator had caught on fire and torched both regulators and the stator replaced the stator, regulators and fixed wire going to starboard temp sender. Anyways after all that it starts and runs but has no power misses at high speeds won't even plain. I am wondering if this is one of those motors that the temp senders have something to do with the running of the engine? that's the only other thing that I can think of may have been damaged by the fire any ideas. Has 35 psi fuel pressure! all the cylinders are hitting the same on all the cylinders! Any help would be appreciated!!!

When ya have that much heat involved with tha 'lectrics ALL of it needs ta be checked. ie: switch boxes, trigger included...........jmo
