Just bought a weird Lund 1973 "President" model. It is fiberglass and looks like it was manufactured much later. It was made by Shell Lake...

Anyway, the 1998 Mariner looks good. It starts right up but idles a little rough. I want to check the compression, but don't know how to disable the spark to do it.

I don't want it trying to start ect.

Any suggestions?

Thought of that. Would rather not have ignition firing into ungrounded plugs

Can I just put a remote start trigger on the starter solinoid with the key off? Willl this damage any of the electronic componants?
