Hi all,
Have twin 150hp Yamaha's on a 26' century. On engine bogs down when attempting full throtle. I noticed the primer bulb was sucked flat. Changed water seperator for that engine, no help. Just after the water seperators there is a valve with 3 wires going to them. Is this solinoid valve to cut off fuel supply??? If so could this be the problem and is there a way to test it? Aslo is there usually another check valve of some kind closer to the tank?
Thanks in advance for your replies,
Bob

Re: 1998 150hp Fuel Problem

your describing a fuel restriction between the primer bulb intake and the liquid level in the tank. the 3 wire deallie bob( man I love technical terms) sounds like the fuel flow sender for the fuel management guage.
look at the seperator, antisiphon valve and draw tube. there is a screen on the inlet side of the flow sender.
fuel pumps are trying, they just cant pull. if the restriction was between the bulb and the engine the buld could not suck flat. so its betwen the bulb and the liquid level in the tank.
