I need some info on the single piece exhaust manifolds for my 4.3. I have a problem with water leaking into the engine causing a slight milky oil water mix and starting problem when boat is restarted after sitting. Did these manifolds have a internal cracking issue that could cause water to leak back into the exhaust ports. I now that the one piece design is no longer available and you must update to the two piece. Is there any other up dates that need to be done if this is my problem. Also note that the engine was replaced so I'm pretty sure its not caused by a cracked block or intake manifold. Thank you for any assistance on this topic.

you got it

single piece manifolds are junk

if you order the two piece kit, it will have everything you need to update the exhaust

The manifolds don't really have a cracking problem just because they are single piece. They do freeze and crack, and if run salt or brackish water can rust through putting water in the cylinders.
BUT !! Water in the cylinders does not get water in the oil, maybe a few drop, but nothing noticable. The rings prevent that, unless you have only 30 or 40 psi of compression, then it might leak buy.
If you have any measurable amount of water in the oil, you have a problem other than manifolds.
