Pretty sure have non hydraulic lifters. Looking for Valve lash clearance specs. Trying to set the push rods just had the head redone, new head gasket, new risers and manifolds. Timing currently set to 8degrees before top dead center. Wanna make sure I set the head right.

You sure about solid lifters?
very rare on that engine, not stock. Talk to the people that supplied the cam and lifters, they would know best.

Start with getting a shop manual for your engine although setting Chevy hydraulic lifters which I’m 99% is what you have, is not hard but you need to understand how to set the engine at the right starting point and then follow it from there. When I did mine I used 1 turn after zero lash as per the shop manual.

For your motor to have solid lifters, its nowhere near stock.

Since GM V8 IO motors have had hydraulic lifters since the late 50s.

However if your motor is a stock 1998 GM V8 with vortec heads, you have non-adjustable rockers.
