While replacing the needle and cleaning the carb I made the regretful decision to attempt to remove the main tube. As I turned the tube I noticed that it did not seem to be coming out. I tried to tighten back up. It gets hard to turn but does not come to a solid stop. It will get tight then loosen up as you rotate it. I had taken a picture of the carb before I disassembled it so I rotated it to the same position as there is an angle on the top. Also this tube is kind of flimsy so the two notches where the screw driver slots are appear to be bent slightly.
Does anyone know what this tube does and will being out of round a little cause an issue or is there a height spec. I could not find any info in the manual. I did make sure that the idle tube is touching the main tube per the manual. Once the carb is back on the motor it has a burble at high RPM which it did not have prior to the carb rebuild. The motor only ran crappy at low speeds and idle now it is always crappy. I have been all over with the adjustment on the air mixture screw. Goes from bad to worse in both directions.
Thanks in advance.
