I HAVE A 1998 EVINRUDE FITCH 150. THE NO OIL LIGHT RECENTLY STARTED TO COME ON WHEN THE ENGINE GETS HOT. I CHANGED THE OIL SENSOR BUT PROBLEM CONTINUES ONLY WHEN HOT. ONCE ENGINE COOLS DOWN NO PROBLEM RUNS GREAT. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM.

Yes, I have the same problem. I changed my motor to a 1997 150 fitch and its doing the same. It wasnt doing it on the other boat. I had tried it before I bought it. Did you figure it out yet?

Could be several things, if the oil pressure regulator is bad, the ecu will read it as low oil pressure. I have seen the system check gauge go bad also, it may run perfect for a while, and then illuminate a light even if there is not a problem with the motor. Oil problems are not something to take lightly, you should take it to someone that has the right diagnostic equipment to see if you have a false alarm, or a real problem.

Heres the latest. The motor runs fine for the first 15 min or so, then the no oil light and beeper comes on. The only way it will go out is by pumping the primer bulb continueusly then the light goes out. It will come back on if I stop pumping it, but runs fine and no light as long as I continue pumping. Any ideas.
