1998 evinrude really dark blue paint

I'm beginning to get the idea that this particular Evinrude look (pictured) wasn't very common. Although it looks black, it is really a very dark, slightly metallic blue. I can find metallic dark blue touch-up paint for model years 1989-1993, but not for 1998. Can somebody help me out with a color code or a part number?

Sorry, I can't help you with a color code, but have you checked with your local dealer?

Late model tu paint is available from any OMC (Bomb.) dealer. It'll have to be special ordered. Or, go on the Bomb site and google it.

The factory parts list says the number is 771230. I think it supercedes-but contact your dealer. You can find all the paint colors for the 98 Evinrudes from their factory parts list on the web: epc.brp.com That's where I found this number.

Thanks for the replies! The part number you listed (0771230) has been superseded by part number 0777175 - as far as I can tell. Maybe I'm overthinking this. The blue on the motor that I'm trying to match is very dark blue, but these part numbers are for a paint that is just called "blue." The paint for 89-93 (for example) is described as "dark blue."
Well, ****, I am definitely overthinking it! I'll just order it and see if it matches.

The current Bombardier parts and accessories guide calls this color: metallic blue. (771230) I don't think the OMC engineers were usually very specific about color in the description of the part on an engineering drawing.
