I have ordered a fuel pump rebuild kit for my motor, as I seem to have a fuel starvation issue past 2000 RPM even after cleaning the carbs. I know everyone said on OMC engines that the fuel pumps were a pain to replace/rebuild due to a lot of parts. How difficult is it to replace on my '98 120 Force? Also is there a Mercury service manual for this engine since it was under Mercury Marine? Thanks

Fairly easy. There are some "teeth" cast into the metal/plastic body of the fuel pump and also the gaskets and rubber diaphragm. Make sure those teeth line up on all the components and you should be fine. The other tricky thing is the center pin for the check valves. Take a good close look at the check valves before you remove them.

Mercury puts directions in the rebuild kit.
Pretty easy.
But take a pic or 2 just in case.
