You guys have all helped me a ton with my engine, and I have had it out quite a few times this summer and it is running better than ever.

I've recently had a problem where I can tilt the engine up, but have problems tilting it down. I can usually get it to trim down if I first trim up and immediately press the down button.

I have two different tilt/trim buttons, and both work the same. The connections are all clean. I can hear the relay/solenoid click when I press the button down.

Anyone know if my relay might be going out, or is it another problem I haven't thought of?

The relay part number is 828151A 1.

Thanks in advance!

I have had this problem before on the Force three cylinder systems but not on your single ram system. I suspect that when you drive the tilt cylinder to the limit of its travel. something inside the pump temporarily jams or the ram cocks slightly and jams in the cylinder.. So, for lack of a better solution, do not tilt the engine to its limit. It usually is not necessary anyway.
