I have a 1998 force 120 hp 2 stroke I just bought on a Bayliner Trophy. You can turn the flywheel on top by hand. No compression on any cyl. Anyone have ideas on where to start?

Are all the plugs in? is the key in the crank? if so, then pull the head to check for any damaged / cracked Cylinders/rings also inspect the head-gasket if blown

Plugs are all in. I was wondering if it could be a Reed valve. Didn't know if anyone else has had this problem common to a Force engine. Guy said it was running when he parked it. Been sitting since 2014

First thing, try a different gauge???
Does it have compression when you remove the plugs and cover the hole with your finger as you turn it over.
You using the starter to turn it? or by hand? turning by hand won't do much for a comp test.
No comp n ANY hole doesn't sound right???
Reed valves? Just reeds, no valves.
The reeds stop the air from going back through the carbs.
But they shouldn't have any thing to do with compression.
As you turn it over does gas or air come out the front of the carbs?

Havent put a gauge on it yet. I shouldnt be able to rotate flywheel by hand. It should stop when compression builds up. but turns easy, no resistance. I will put a gauge on it and spin it over.
Thanks
