hello there!
i am new to the site and excited to find such an overwhelming support system for boaters!
here's my first question and i hope someone can shed some light on it for me.
ran our boat into the mud at low tide and clogged the pee hole.(probably broke the impeller) i tried flushing and running a guitar string, no it was a clutch cable, up the bottom intake to try and dislodge the mud. it didn't work and the motor still won't pee.(days later, i tried a bunch) i've gathered that i now need to drop the foot and perhaps replace the thermostat and water pump/ impeller. any advice, step by step, for dropping the foot and attempting this fix? i would really appreciate it because i haven't had a bite in three days and my favorite spot is only attainable by boat! haha!
i'm gonna go get the serial # off of it and model #...hope it might help.
serial # oE318180
model is 1998 50 ELPT
sure would welcome any advice and
THANKS!
