1998 Force 90 Outboard lower unit plugs

I am not sure which place the long pinned plug goes in the lower unit. There is the vent, the oil fill and the oil drain plugs. There are two short screw in plugs and one longer plug with a pin. Does anyone know where the longer pllug goes?

Welcome to iboats.

The longer one is actually magnetic, and will attract any metal shavings in the gear case.
It goes in the lowest/drain hole.


The 2 short plug/screws go in the top 2 holes.

Use new gaskets on the screws to prevent water from getting in.
