I replaced the impeler. I put the lower unit back on with the gear box in foward. but when I put the gear box in nutral and turn the prop it cliks like it is still in gear. Then I tried putting the lower unit back on with the gear box in nutral. The prop spins freely and it cliks when it is in foward like it is supposed to but when I put the gear box in revearse the prop locks up and will not spin either way. I have taken the lower unit off and tried all the differant combinations. Could I have messed something up? I have been switching the gear by turning the shift shaft on the lower unit. any help? before I put the lower unit back on each time I make sure the gear mathes the gear box by spinning the drive shaft clock wise. But I still get the same reults in any gear. Tried the skotch tape on the shifter no dice.
