Should the water come out of the exhaust/prop when the motor is not running but the ears/garden hose are connected anyway?

water is just circulating while hose is on. Your ok! Or are you saying that no water is coming out while on muffs?

There is no water coming out of the exhaust while it is on muffs. Trying to get it started after sitting for two years with starter fluid and I didn't see any water coming out while it was running on starter fluid.

Spent a couple of hours on it this morning, the little tube coming out the casing was blocked with a dirt dauber and we got it cleaned out, still no water flowing, I am going to check the impeller tot he water pump next.

The impeller is the water pump. If dirt dauber has block one place, I would bet it's also blocked some where else too. Remove lower unit, rig garden hose to water tube, turn water on and just enough to make the water flow through power head. Is water flowing? (yes) then ok. (no) the not ok. Pull thermostat and see if water is flowing. (yes) reinstall thermostat housing only. turn water on. is water flowing? (yes) Renew thermostat. (no) pull head/s find and remove restriction. While lower unit is removed, renew impeller while it's off. Good luck and post back results.
