Much to my dismay I have low compression on one cylinder (60 psi versus 95 psi) - repair cost - $2000 - $3000.
I have no experience tearing down an engine, but have some common sense to rely on.
If I attempt this to reduce my repair costs. Who makes the clearest most concise manual?
Special tools required??
Tips and or tricks??
I would have a certified Merc dealer work on the piston and possible cylinder repair. I have a Merc shop manual, but it only begins to describe the procedure after everything has already been dismantled.
Any advise would be appreciated.
