Motor seems to be flooded at all times. It will start but misses and rolls blue smoke. It was a come and go problem at first but now it does it all the time. In fact, it would come and go in an instant. Replaced carburator-no luck. Replaced coil packs-no luck. It has not jumped time. It is a 2-cycle engine with a diaphram type fuel pump which is fixed to the carb. I tried a carb off of an identical engine that I knew was good and it ran the exact same way. I'm convinced its some sort of weak fire.

A little more info would help.2 stroke ,or 4?They make both you know, in that horsepower range. Not to much will make an engine run rich, but we need to know what you,ve got ,before we can help you.

blaine,

More motor detail please. Manufacturer, Size, year etc.

Might suggest compresion check. I've seen this symptom a couple of times on motors that have "dropped" a cylinder.

More detail might help

Good Luck
Have FUN!
