1998 Yamaha 150 Trim motor oil?

I see a little resivior with a screw off cap next to the trim motor. Assume that gets hydraulic fluid. Can dot 3 brake fluid be used or does it have to be something special?<br /><br />Thanks

use auto trans fluid not brake fluid. the cap is also the fill line with the motor tilted all the way up and supported while you are under there.
