No it won't be too heavy. It will be heavier I think a 99 50 is probably about 200
A Yamaha is about 262,a Merc about 247.The Evinrude Etec is a direct injected 2 stroke
exceeds all emission requirements and is the motor of choice for lake Tahoe official boats.
It weighs about 240.If your buying new the Etec has no break in period and no service requirement for 3 years or 300 hours.
Also fewer and less complicated service intervals than a 4 stroke.
