water is heavier the gas, try flaoting it in gas, in the carb bowel. it may be saturated if it was "put up" without being winterized.<br /><br />the motor is kind of young to expect this kind of problem but lets determine if this is the source.<br /><br />if the motor wasn't winterized, perhaps it would be a good idea to service the carb. tear it down, soak it in solvent, blow (compressed air) out the channels & orafices, replace gaskets, float & needle.<br /><br />& if you dont have one, you ought to seriusly consider getting a service manual. it will help alot.<br /><br />if this is the 2-cylinder with the head cast as part of the block, the basic design has been around, with very little change, for several years. it's a dependable design (else they would have quit making it). <br /><br />not too much to that carb but it does sound like that is where your problem is.
