I just bought a 1999 5hp evinrude 4 stroke that looks brand new and only has 30 hours on it. It pumps water VERY strong and starts effortlessly. I noticed that after running it for about 15 minutes, the top of the cowling gets warm. Not scalding hot, but warm enough that you don't want to put your hand on it for very long. It was 80 degrees and sunny when this happened. Is this normal, should the cowling feel warm after running the motor.
