I am in the process of helping a friend of mine rebuild his BF90 which broke a rod and now he has just received a new rotation assembly. I removed the head and found the source of a misfire he had been having the head had a lot of pitting between the exhaust and one of the intake valves, most likely causing predetonation. My question is regarding the intake valves, are they the same as the ones use in the SOHC 1.6 L civic engine of the same year. This friend has limited resources and I am just trying to get this guy back out on the water. As for the pitting I am polishing the out and having someone with a Tig strike a weld between the intake and exhaust to "fill the cavity". Any information on the valves would be greatly appreciated.
