J200pxeen is my model number

the motor feels under powered takes for ever to get on plane I thought it was a vro issue since I premix i got a double pulser pump. Replace the pulse limiter and rebuilt the carbs and cleaned with carb cleaner and compressed air. Still not getting the right power. I have a Holley electric low pressure pump 38gph and 4-7 psi. Checked while running with a gauge and I’m only getting 2-4psi under load. I have a 5gallon tank I’m using for testing so I know my internal tank is not a factor here.
im thinking reed valves?

What boat is it on ?----What pitch is the prop ?----Has the boat been weighed ?------Do you have spark on all six leads ?----What are the compression numbers ?----Did this " under powered " condition develop suddenly ?---And there are more things to look at too.

It’s on a 19ft cc seahawk 1990 claims to be 2,000lb I think more like 3,000 plus motor and 50gallon tank
prop is 13/34x 17in pitch
compresion is 100 on all 6 cylinders
I purchased the motor saw it run didn’t test it in the water now I’m paying extra

I pulled of the carb throttle plates and on the center reed box I found a rotted out rubber nipple looks like vacuum?

im going to pull the reeds out take a better look because if I tap my finger on them the feel loose on 4 of the cylinders. By loose I mean the reed valves don’t feel like they are tightly mounted. Like the screws on the base are backing out

FYI.. have seen the ethanol in fuel crack and delaminate the rubber coating on reed blocks but this causes idle problems and lean blow back thru carbs...

2 cylinders runs the same if I cover them up

J200pxeen

when I’m running around 4500rpm I noticed if I put my hand over the 1st and 3rd cylinder carbs the motor does not respond. If I do the same thing to the other carbs the motor almost dies. Due to this I believe motor has lost power. Top speed was around 55 now it struggles to hit 30. Wot rpms 5300 should be over 6000

compression test 120 all cylinders with 2 difrent guages
spark gap test jumped 3/8inch
fuel pressure goes from 6-2psi
my r

From the boat side and looking at the carburetors which carburetor are you is considering the #1 carburetor.----Are the orange wires from the powerpack hooked up correctly ?-----Orange / blue stripe to the top cylinder ?

Are you 100% sure that the top carburetor on the starboard side feed the cylinders on the starboard side ?----Or do they crossover ?

Combined your reed post and carb post into one thread. It's the same problem in both threads, so no need for a second and divergent thread with unrelated advice.

In other words - The motor runs like crap, let us help you find out why!

Fact ---the carburetors cross over.---------The top carburetor on the PORT side feeds the top cylinder on the STARBOARD side.----Check the orange wires ( stripe color ) from powerpack to coils.----Have you looked at possible issues with crankshaft SEALING RINGS on the motor.-----Sealing rings on the crankshaft, not the same as the top and bottom rubber oil seals.

I have not thought to check crank and rings. Would you please explain how I would. Please by all means understand I know almost nothing about outboards but I know how to trouble on a basic level so I really appreciate the input thank you
