What are signs or symptoms that your power pack maybe on its way out. Other than the obvious that the motor wont start.

What is your motor doing / not doing at the moment ?-------And do you know how a powerpack works ?----I believe many good ones are replaced as a guess as to what might fix the motor !

My mechanic told me at the beginning of the season that it was starting to go bad because it was taking to long to unchoke after the warm up process. I have noticed especially on hot days it can take several minutes to idle down. I was just curious to know what symptoms of a failing pack would look like. Its not an issue to rip it out and replace it, but before i drop a couple hundred dollars on one I would like to know more of what to look for.

Are you sure your motor -----" unchokes " ----After warm up.----Time to ask your mechanic to explain a few thing about your motor.-------Does your motor have the " quick start " feature ?-----I do not believe powerpacks start to fail the way you describe.----They work properly or they don't.----Any other trouble shooting done?

My motor does the have the quick start feature. The thermostat tests fine in fact its brand new. I know the motor unchokes because i can see the change when the hood is off. Im really only going off of the fact that after initial start, it can take several minutes for the rpms to go down. Even if the motor has ran for awhile it can still take several minutes.
