I own a 1999 Landau DX24 pontoon and it has a 1999 90hp Evinrude (E90FPLEEC) with a Solas Rubex 3 (9411-138-13). I normally get about 18 mph on the water WOT (4,000 rpm out of 6,000 rpm) and I was wondering if changing to a different prop size or pitch would change the top end. I know if I really want a higher top end I need to upgrade my outboard and I am looking into that for next summer but I destroyed the prop on a sandbar over the weekend so it's time for a new prop anyway.

I tried to hit my local boat dealer up for suggestions and it seems they are going out of business so I figured I would ask here. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A 13" prop should be darn close to right. over 5000 rpm and over 20mph. Either your motor is really tired or the setup is all wrong.
A 24 with a 50 hp would be around 18-20 mph.Is your speed with a light load?

With my dad and I in the boat we were about 19 mph WOT. I can get the same prop I just didn't know if going bigger or changing the pitch would do any good.

I am hoping to upgrade to a 150hp in 2017, just waiting until my tour in Korea is over and come back home to upgrade.

A 90 with a 13" prop should be around 25 mph.Its bad for the motor to lug at 4000 rpm.I don't think an 11 would help speed.
will get the rpm up a little which may ease the stress on the motor a little.
You should see if something simple might help.Throttle opening all the way?
Maybe a plug wire off or a fouled plug.

Plugs are good - checked them before the season and even indexed them as some suggested. I will check the throttle and make sure that is fine. You think it's safe to go with the one the 13 blade with a 13 pitch?

Did you mean a 3 blade 13" pitch? At this point I don't think a prop change matters much. The motor is way out of ideal rpm
range and speed seems to indicate could be motor is in trouble.
Theoretically an 11" pitch will make it easier for the motor and I would suggest no wide open throttle.
Being able to make only 4000 wot rpm is like your car pulling a trailer up a never ending hill in over drive.
