Thanks for the info. Unfortunaly before the respond I ordered a 22 pitch 4 blade ss Stiletto Bay Pro II series. I'm going to give this one a try tonight.

If it was sluggish before, going to the 22P will likely hurt hole shot, not improve it. The Stiletto may make up for that loss but adding the extra blade may be a loss factor as well so you may have shot yourself in the foot -- twice! You go down in pitch to gain hole shot at the cost of top end. You go up in pitch in attempts to increase top end at the cost of hole shot.

I was concerned also about the rpm thats why i went to the 22" 4 blade ss. I took it out last night and hole shot was about the same top end on the gps was 55mph and I was running 4500 rpm wot. Had to do about 22mph in order to stay on plane with 45 gal. of fuel 2 adults 4 13 year olds. I think i will look for a 20" 4 blade for when we go tubbing or skiing and I will just have to watch the wot.

Re: 1999 lsr 2100 prop size

I have a similar 2002 boat (2100 LSR w/5.0) that we bought used. Don't know what the gear ratio is but we are enjoying it with 14.5x17 4 blade aluminum. We are always at full loads (or maybe over) and often at altitude (up to 4900'). With 21" 3 blade it has a hard time getting on plane (we were probably closer to 15oolbs on that trip and at 4,500'. We spend all of our time tubing and rarely even try to go over 40 mph.

How have you been enjoying the boat?

Brian
