Hey everyone. I have a 1999 mercruiser 350 mag mpi. A few months back got some water in the engine but was able to get most of it out and it ran well since. Last weekend had it out and noticed quite a bit of water in the filter. I think this must have been leftover from the first time we got water in the tank. Well it killed the fuel pump so I just put in a replacement today. Went to fire it up and the fuel pump cycled on and pressurized the fuel rails but would not start. I tried swapping the ignition coil and fuel filter from the other engine, bled the scrader valve, checked for spark and still could not get it to fire. Any ideas of where to check next?

Throw a timing light on and make sure you're getting the spark at roughly the right time...

Need to find out what your not getting (spark, fuel) so we can advise of a solution. Finding water in the fuel filter could also mean what your trying to run the engine on water. You bleed the fuel rail but are you getting fuel or water/mix at the valve? Do you know what pressure you have at the shrader valve?
