I took the motor in and had the marine mechanic scan it and they said that at higer rmp cylinder #4 isn't getting enough fuel and shuts down. Compression is good. I took all the injectors off and took them to be tested and cleaned and they all run properly. What could possible cause this? Also someone mentioned something about the reeds, what do the reeds do, what is their function?

Thanks for any help

Swap the injectors as they are fired in pairs on that engine, sounds like you have a bad injector. Who cleaned and tested it? Was it flow balanced? Was filters in injectors changed? Just because it sprayed doesnt make it good...

The injectors were taken to an injection shop(http://www.chathamfuel.on.ca/) I was told that all were tested at a high and low rmp, that the flow was within 4% of spec which is considered good. He said that they are functioning properly. I have ordered all new seals and orings for when I reassemble the fuel system. There seemed to be a leak somewhere in the unit so I hope that by changing these seals and rings will stop that and possibly solve the issue also. But any input or direction would be apprechiated.

What's the fuel pressure at the schrader valve?
You have a manual?Sent U a PM.
I had a too high condition and it would do that.
EVERY ONE said the regulators NEVER go bad so I messed around for weeks looking for a different answer.
Gave up and changed the reg and it solved the problem.
Not saying that's your problem just something to look into???

I solved the issue, its kinda funny actually. I started getting discouraged so I tried tracing areas that could cause this issue, well the air intake sucked up some foam from the cowl liner and Bingo cylinder 4 wasn't getting enough air/fuel so it would shut down. I'm glad I found the issue before taking it to the shop because their estimate was $800.
