1999 Mercury 150 Optimax clicking noise

I recently purchased a boat with a '99 Merc Optimax 150hp, motor runs good except for 2 issues:<br />1- Clicking noise when running, sounds like injector noises, do they go bad after a certain time ?<br />2- Sometimes I can't shift into gear, from idle, without motor killing.<br /><br />Anybody have some info on this ?<br /><br />Thanks
