I have a 1999 Mercury Marine Force Power Series 90, 75-90 HP Force 1231cc, Part # 37-85698416.......
from what i can tell, the foam in the cover broke lose and fell down blocking the air intake on the #3 carb..... which in turn melted down the piston top and the motor started a knock... now the shop said thats not what happened but i do know some about motors.... The compression on #1 and #2 was close to 130 #3 was dead... 10..... pulled the head... #3 has marks in the cylinder too much to clean... there dosen not look like a sleeve just Alum block.. so whats best here? do they make a sleeve or a oversized or help.....

Sure there's a sleeve. Just bore it accordingly. Pistons are available up to +.040
