1999 Mercury Trim

I have a 1999 225 Mercury, trim switch in control handle stuck causing relay and wire harness to burn up in motor, I changed the relay & harness, everything works ok now but I need to know how to open control handle up so that I may change switch in handle, there are no visible screws.

Is it a Commander 2000 or 3000? Side mount or concealed mount?

Its a center console boat, control mounted on the dash. Says Quicksilver on it, no other identification. Looks like plastic piece at end of handle may pop off but it will not come off easily. I figure there might be a trick to it.
