1999 Sportfish I/O

I have had this boat for about 18months now and I love it, my only complaint is no where I can see to mount any rod holders that wont interfere with fishing. I only use it for fishing. I have made a custom engine cover that only overs the engine box and allows walkthrough on either side of the engine to get to the trolling rods. If anyone has some ideas or success stories on mounting some rod holders I would appreciate it.

Rod holders for storage or fishing?

I redesigned the interior of my 01 SuperHawk and have horizontal rod holders going down the port and starboard sides, under the gunnels to the floor. Port has enough for 8-9 rods and 3-4 starboard,,, depending on rod type. Something like this:

For quick access I have 2 double rod mounted to the front of the engine cover.

Then 10 Driftmaster rod holder mounts running down the gunnels.
