1999 yamaha 70hp tach wiring

i have a 1999 70hp yamaha ob with a digital yamaha tachometer. all functions on the tach works exept for the backlight for night running, i looked under the console and found that all the wires coming out of the tach are hooked up but two. one is solid green and the other is black, and i found no wiring from the nav light switch the tach. are these two wires for the backligh? neither of the local dealers have been any help, and i haven't been able to find a wiring diagram, thank you

Hey Dave, don't mean to be rude but could you be slightly colorblind? My brother sees green/blue backwards a little. Light should be solid BLUE, solid green is tach signal(pulse). Or maybe wire is discolored from age? Anyway blue and black for light

Thanks for the info, and your right the wire is blue i just wrote it down wrong. Thats what i get for waiting til the next day to post it, thank you for the information, i didn't know exactly what the 2 wires were for and didn't want to burn out the tach if i had it wrong, Thanks agian, Dave.
