Hi everybody. I'm absolutely new in this forum but I hope you can help me....
I have been fighting since last November with an oil leakage coming from the oil pump assembly or around there....
I bought a boat with such outboard at the end of the last year and when I got it, the previous owner was removing the original oil pump (the leakage was really evident he said) and substituting it with a brand new one...
So i got the Yam with a new oil pump but after two days of using (approx 100 miles) oil came out again....this time new oil seals (the one on the shaft bottom side and also the one in the upper side of the oil pump) and also a new gasket in the bottom of the crankcase..I tested it for one hour working at low rpm and all seemed fine. Today ( a week after I 've kept the outboard tilted up) I have seen an oil drop coming out from the rubber seal between the bottom cowling assy an the stator assy....
I have already unmounted and mounted again the powerhead 2 times and no solution got....
