This is a motor my buddy and I picked up for next to nothing. Has good compression, good spark, carbs were rebuilt. The problem is it will not turn over. This motor kind of sat around for months, now we have started to tinker with it again. It also has 2 new fuel pumps, and fresh gasoline. If we manually put fuel into each cylinder by removing the plugs, little squirt of pre-mix fuel, and reinstall, it will turn over and run for a few seconds. What else could be causing this? Almost like fuel isnt reaching the cylinders? Thanks guys...

Sorry, model number is P150TLRX

What I mean is the motor will not start unless you manually put fuel into each cylinder. It will run until that fuel is gone, and thats it. Otherwise it will not start, and when we keep trying it just floods the carbs.

What, exactly, does "floods the carbs" mean.

From your description the carbs are not supplying fuel to the cylinders.

Go to the Engine FAQs Forum and do "Outboard won't start".

Let us know what you find.

I mean fuel starts to drain out of the carbs, so I thought that ment they were getting flooded. I will check the faq

If the fuel is coming out of carbs then floats must be stuck
