1st I/O

This is the 1st I/O I have had and needed to work on it hasa Ford 2300 Engine to power it, We were told it ran but would like to hear it before launching it... Can we run this in a Barrel like a outboard or do we need to do something else to run it??

you can run it in a barrel or go by a set of muffs and run it on the garden hose.

Might get some better answers if you posted what year it is, along with OMC, Mercruiser, Volvo.
My guess is you have an OMC with a 2.3L Ford, but could be wrong. I have also heard people call a 4 Cyl Volvo a Ford because it didn't look like a Chevy.

you can run it in a barrel or on muffs.. i wouldnt put it in gear in the barrel thou..

was the boat surveyed? do you know the condition of the drive? there are a lot of things that are worth checking on before you try to launch..
