I bought it incomplete 6 months ago.I am finishing the last couple of things and I it will be ready to start. It is my first outboard to work on.I had to replace the primer solenoid that was missing as well as guess which side to place the recirc / primer lines. Are they supposed to be connected to a particular side?

What advice and/or instruction can you tell me on getting it started the first time? I am guessing I need to squeeze the fuel bulb a few times, but do I need to also press the key in to choke it a few seconds before turning it over?

With the primer you press they key in while cranking it over.----After motor starts you may have to press key in a few times till it warms up.-----Do not let motor rev wildly in neutral as it is considered BAD for needle bearings.
