2.3 Cobra water in oil

Engine just rebuilt, runs good, no leaks, still getting milky oil, took motor apart and could find no evidence of a crack or where water was getting in.... <br /><br />Is it possible that using an automotive head gasket could cause this happen?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br /><br />Chris

same engine, same problem. blown head gasket though, replaced with automotive, works good now. I dont know what the difference would be because the engine(boat and car) has the same block and head, just different exhaust, intake, and accessories..<br /><br />ALTHOUGH, the head bolt torque specs and sequence are different for the boat engine and the automotive, so who knows... I cant figure out why...
