Should tthis carb linkage be fully open to the stop

Mine only goes part way, I adjusted the connector linkage with adjusters on each end out all the way to the ends to see what would happen and it was not a good experiance so i put it back like it was..
I just wonder if i am getting the full range of throttle available or if it was set to go only so far for a reason or if something else may be screwed up somewhere

The throttle plate should be full open when the throttle handle is moved to WOT. If the plate is not going full open then look at how the cable is attached to the handle inside. It could be the handle os not moving far enough because something is jamming, the wrong handle was installed or cable is attached in the wrong holes.

All the way means throttle plates vertical in the throat. And don't mistake the choke plate for the throttle. Yes - - it has been done before.
