I recently acquired an 88 Bayliner with the omc 2.3 in it. The cylinder head is cracked and I'm having trouble finding a replacement. Does anyone know what year and model ford autos would have had that cylinder head? Or where to find a marine one? the casting number on the head is E6ZE-AB So i'm pretty sure it's the turbo head, but the boat doesn't have a turbo. Any help or input would be appreciated.

welcome aboard

its a ford 2.3 truck motor. hit a salvage yard and look for a ford ranger. nothing special on a marine motor long block other than the brass core plugs, stainless head gasket and the cam profile.

Just hope you don't need an exhaust manifold. Those things are pricey!

I Had the same problem. First attempt with an 89 head failed as it was cracked as well. The only one i found was an 1985 head off a Mustang. The valves looked obviously smaller but the head bolted up. Engine runs strong and hard and I can hit 40mph if push the boat with just me in it. Anyway, the 1985 mustang head worked for me. Good luck
