Hi -
87 Bayliner 2.3L OMC
I'm getting ready to pull the boat out of storage and give a permanent fix to my "temporary" fix to a fuel issue I was having last year.
Recap - The motor would run fine until it warmed up. After warm, it would bog down, sputter, and then die. To restart, I would need to peg the throttle. It would fire and then slowly (2 min) rev up to cruising speed. During this time, it was spewing a blackish smoke that reaked of unburnt fuel. To fix this, I took a piece of tie wire and wired the choke full open = no further issues.
I'm assuming my choke is bad, but thought I would double check here before throwing parts at it.
