Definitely a steal, MY.

One of them is worth more than that.

Clean one of them up and sell it for around 2 Grand. That should make the wife happy.

Good luck. :)

Hey JB...you are a whaler fanatic <grin>.

For what its worth...A co-worker of mine picked up an old BW 13 hull and trailer for $500 mid last year. The whole rig was in ok condition but not exceptional. No soft spots, fractures or visible damage...no paint. He spent two weekends cleaning it up and tried to get $1500. It finally went for $1000 after two months. This boat sat for several weeks on a major road (US-1)with a $500 sign on it before he bought it so he should have had a clue on resale.

He said the BW fanatics that came to look at it wanted a "perfect" boat and there were a dozen or so total lookers. One caller actually said he would buy the boat site unseen but never showed. This was on the east coast of Florida.

With that said, I would check your local market before thinking of geting "big bucks" for any whaler that has had major repair work.

Our 13 was a 1975, a 1987 40 hp. Yamaha on it. fixed it up and it was absolutely gorgeous. Sold it for $4,950. People bought it and was as happy as a clam!

I love my montauk too. they are worth putting the money into it and enjoying and selling. I may sell mine to go bigger (much bigger) by the end of this year. But for now, I still love my whaler

JAZZ ;)

Heck, MY!

If you weren't so far away I would give you $600 for your choice, sight unseen.
