Good afternoon folks, I need a bit of guidance.

I was recently doing some work on my trailer and when I replaced the bunk risers, I had them too low causing the trailer fenders to rub my boat. I didn't notice it immediately and today I raised the risers to the correct height and noticed an issue on one side of the boat.

The issue is a 2" long area where the fender rubbed the boat and exposed the fiberglass about 1/4 inch wide and maybe 1/16 of an inch deep. I can also smell the resin if I get close to it. Water was dripping out slowly when I parked the trailer.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to repair this? Boat is a 19' Carolina skiff 198DLX.

Thanks y'all!

With water dripping from it, this would mean water has made it passed the glass and made it into the hull.

Need to cut into the area and get it dried out before any repair can be done. Post some pics so we can see what your working with
