Good afternoon folks, I need a bit of guidance.
I was recently doing some work on my trailer and when I replaced the bunk risers, I had them too low causing the trailer fenders to rub my boat. I didn't notice it immediately and today I raised the risers to the correct height and noticed an issue on one side of the boat.
The issue is a 2" long area where the fender rubbed the boat and exposed the fiberglass about 1/4 inch wide and maybe 1/16 of an inch deep. I can also smell the resin if I get close to it. Water was dripping out slowly when I parked the trailer.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to repair this? Boat is a 19' Carolina skiff 198DLX.
Thanks y'all!
