2 line fuel setup quick question

We have our pressure tank now hooked up but it seems were not getting the fuel to run through the hose by pushing the primer button on the tank. How can we tell whats wrong or how to see if the primer button is working?

Does it pump up til it gets firm?

Disconnect the hose from the motor. Hold down the brass check valve on the end of the hose connector in the fuel side, not the air side. Pump the button. It should squirt gas out the connector where you are holding the check down. If it doesn't, check to make sure the fuel and air hoses are not swapped. If that is ok, and it doesn't squirt gas, there is something wrong with the tank.

Thank you for the help. We got it working but we cheated a bit by filling the tank with air first by means of compressor then it worked.
