Hey guys

found Quicksilver TC-W 3 synthetic blend oil at Wal-Mart for $4 more than the regular QS tcw 3 oil per. gal.

my question...
I have a Merc. 2 stroke oil/gas mix older engine that smokes like all 2 strokes at idle and low throttle, will this synthetic oil eliminate or help with the smoke screen????

thanks

Semi-synthetic helps, full synthetic helps even more.

Check Pennzoil 100% Synthetic Outboard Motor Oil at Walmart($27/gallon), I've used if for several years in my Yamaha 90HP 2 stroke premix motor and there is very little smoke, less carbon, clean burning. Good Luck!

Re: 2 stroke synthetic blend oil

sorry guys, guess I have been in the bubble house, I went on line and found four brands of full syn. oil available.

As for the Penzoil brand at Wal-Mart, it may have been on the shelf but from experiance as a mechanic at a Pontiac dealership back in the 60's & 70's, I do not even look at a Penzoil product. as the old saying went, I wouldn't fry a rotton egg in Penzoil.
If you did not change oil & filter every 2000 miles it turned to sludge big time.
Ya I know, that was what 40 yrs ago......

thanks again for the information
