20 hp Evinrude slipping @ full throttle

I have an older evinrude motor. it runs great but the engine slips out and back into gear after the engine warms up. I am a new boater and I am not very familiar with marine repair. Any information would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks in Advance<br /><br />Shaggy

Shaggy,<br /> we need more info on your motor.such as year,HP,elect or manual shift,and what are its symtoms in detail that make you think its going in and out of gear?

Shag,<br /> I didn't see the 20 hp in the title,The reason I ask is cuz my hunch is if the motor is reving but you ain't going anywhere its most likly the prop is slipping on the hub.<br />***********************************************<br />OMC
